Cell Phone Policy

Cell phone policy 

All cell phones must be placed on vibrate or turned off and put out of sight during instructional class time (unless the teacher gives directions on how it will be used for an academic purpose). Cell phones are allowed to be used during lunch and lunch recess. This expectation is school-wide, meaning students, staff and volunteers. People assume you are on your phone when the phone is out and visible. School is not the place to be on your cell phone. Classroom teachers will have more information pertaining to cell phones based on the specific grade level. CVA K-8 is not responsible for lost or stolen cell phones.

Cordless and bluetooth earbuds (ex: airpods) are not allowed during class time. If you are required to listen to audio for a lesson, headphones MUST be CORDED. 

We recommend that you keep your cordless and bluetooth earbuds at home. CVA K-8 is not responsible for lost or stolen earbuds.
