My name is Monica C Kalina, My students call me Señora Kalina. I currently live in Frederick, Colorado, but  I am originally from Colombia, South America. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages from Universidad de la Costa, Barranquilla Colombia. I have taught Spanish for several years in Colombia and in the USA.

I am a wife and mom of 3 kids. When I am not teaching Spanish, I love to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy traveling in and out of the USA or visiting my relatives in Colombia. I also like to read novels in Spanish and watch documentaries.

I love the small school setting at CVA which allows the students to have a strong sense of connection with the teachers and their peers. I am so excited to teach my native language to my K-8 students this upcoming school year.
