Jessica is a Colorado native, growing up in south metro Denver before moving into the tri-town area. Jessica obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Sociology from UNC in Greeley in 2008. In 2012 Jessica completed her Master’s degree from Capella University in Human Services with a Non-Profit Leadership and Management emphasis. In her professional role, Jessica is the Assistant Director of a local non-profit that supports individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Jessica is deeply committed to the ideals of person-centered practices & self-determination. She focuses on further advancing the inclusion movement while stepping boldly away from the traditional practices that hold people with disabilities back from full citizenship expression. In her free time, you can find Jessica exploring all the hiking trails our beautiful state has to offer or cheering on the CU Buff’s football team with her family!
Jessica has one kiddo attending CVA. The small class sizes, small community feel, and commitment of the teachers and staff have allowed her son to simply thrive at CVA. Her family has been part of the CVA community since 2015, starting at the pre-school. Jessica is thrilled to become more involved with the organization by joining the Board of Directors. Jessica shares a deep passion for education and knowledge acquisition. Her vision is that students of all learning types and abilities are provided with the tools and educational resources to ensure success across their educational careers and into adulthood. Jessica is committed to ensuring learning environments encourage academic success while building a strong personal character. What better place to see this come to fruition than Carbon Valley Academy. Jessica is excited to work with the entire CVA community to upholding the vision & mission of the organization and lead the school into its next chapter.
